The 8th Annual Junior League of Atlanta’s Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race presented by Verizon Wireless and Belk was a huge success. More than 2100 runners, walkers, kilts, strollers and dogs hit the streets of Atlantic Station to help raise funds to train and educate the membership of the League for effective community service, as well as to financially aid projects and programs of community partners where League volunteers serve. “The Junior League of Atlanta values Verizon Wireless’s participation and support of the Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race. The strong Verizon Wireless brand recognition combined with the financial donation allows us to reach more race participants in Atlanta and helps the League continue to serve as a catalyst for change in the Atlanta community,” said Lisa Dwyer, president of the Junior League of Atlanta.”
Yesterday, Georgia State University students participated in a dress rehearsal for the “Largest Walking Irish Flag” which will appear in the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade this Saturday, March 17 at noon.
